Regular Season Round 4: Shabab Al Ahli - Al-Muharraq 89-87

Important game to mention about took place in Dubai. Fourth ranked UAE Shabab Al Ahli (1-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Bahrain Al-Muharraq (0-2) 89-87 on Monday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Shabab Al Ahli players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Deshawndre Washington (201, college: NM State, agency: The Crew A.M.) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Dikembe Dixson (201-1996, college: UIC) contributed with 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Kerwin Roach II (194-1996, college: Texas, agency: BIG) replied with 24 points and 8 assists and Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Al-Muharraq. Four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Defending UAE champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Defending Bahrain champion Al-Muharraq still closes the standings with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
